Capacitor bank
The capacitor bank has the effect of increasing the power factor (cosφ) by using the capacitor bank as a source of reactive power.
The capacitor bank usually consists of many capacitor steps, each capacitor step is controlled by a Contactor. Closing or opening the Contactor will change the number of capacitor banks operating in parallel. A controller that controls the power factor of the power grid will open and close the Contactors, thereby changing the power factor of the entire power grid.
The reactive power bank is used for power systems using highly inductive loads, often installed in electrical engineering rooms or transformer station areas for industrial works such as factories, workshops, high-rise buildings, offices, apartments, hospitals, etc.
■ The capacitor bank manufactured by CET can be controlled in Manual or Automatic mode.
■ The bank can use electric reactors to reduce harmonics or use other devices depending on the customer's requirements.
■ The cabinet is designed to dissipate heat well and has a ventilation fan system to cool the cabinet and a drying resistor to reduce humidity in the cabinet.
